About the destination: Balneário Camboriú (Portuguese: Balneário Camboriú) is a city in the metropolitan region at the mouth of the Itajaí River, on the northern coast of the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. It has been chosen as the city with the best quality of life on the Santa Catarina coast, and the second-best in the state after Florianópolis. Places of interest: Unipraias Park is a park that includes areas of the Atlantic Forest, which is almost extinct, and offers opportunities to observe the sea. Cristo Luz is a 33-meter (108-foot) tall monument on top of Morro da Cruz. Attached to it is a resort complex with restaurants, shops, live entertainment, and children’s playgrounds. Cyro Gevaerd Park (also known as Santur) is home to birds, an aquarium, an Archaeological and Oceanographic Museum, a Fishermen’s Museum, and a small farm that displays local species of fauna and flora in their natural habitat. The zoo features lions, tigers, monkeys, alligators, and many other animals among its attractions.
